Crowns, Bridges & Veneers

When a tooth becomes broken down, cracked, root canals, or you are not satisfied with shape or color, then crowns, bridges, and veneers are used.

Purpose of a Crowns, Bridges & Veneers:

If you have a damaged or decayed tooth, our dentists can help you choose the best solution. Crowns and bridges are custom-fitted tooth prosthetics that function and look like natural, healthy teeth. Veneers are a minimally-invasive alternative, but may only be a solution for those with slight tooth damage or discoloration.

Crowns

A crown, otherwise known as a cap, is custom-fitted to your bite and is placed over your natural prepared tooth. We do most crowns in one visit using state-of-the-art Cerec CAD-CAM technology. This makes the procedure more convenient for the patient because there is only one visit, no impression, and no temporary crown. It also gives the dentist more control over the final restoration.

Indications for crowns include:

Cavity that includes a large portion of the tooth

Cracked tooth

  • We will shave down the tooth for a proper crown fit

  • A scan will be taken of your teeth for crown fabrication

  • The crown is designed by the dentist and milled in office by CEREC machine

  • The crown is tried in the mouth and adjustments are made

  • The crown is crystallized in an oven

  • The final crown is cemented, the bite is checked, and you are good to go!
